I don’t always listen to my gut. That feeling that demands to be felt. And looking back, I can think of multiple times I should have listened. Maybe my brain and heart needed more information, but my gut never sought justification.
So next time, when you get that undeniable feeling… the nagging and poking and reeling. Don’t suppress your gut reaction, in fact, I beg you to take action. See where it leads you. And trust that it might know better, too. 🍎

I’m a little bit embarrassed to admit this, but… I play Genshin Impact. 🙈 It‘s been my favourite video game for a looooong time. I used to stop myself from playing because I believed it was ‘unproductive’. This past week I finally let myself get back into the game and spend some time enjoying the world, characters, and story. I levelled up some weapons and improved my characters. And I’ve been having the absolute best time playing. And honestly? The joy it brings me is all the justification I need. 🤩

Growing up, I rarely saw anyone who looked like me in media. This led me to feel self-conscious about my appearance and skin tone. Makeup felt more like a burden than something empowering… until recently. I just got a lip stain from Huda Beauty and I cannot accurately describe how happy it makes me. Knowing that a product was made for a brown girlie like me gives me so much confidence and joy. To me, this is why inclusivity and diversity are soooo important. And I hope we can keep making things so people can feel included and seen in the world 🥰🫶🏽
