I wrote A LOT of poems in 2025. Like… hundreds of poems. Those of you that have been following my poetry for some time will know that I’ve shared so much of my work on social media. Instagram has seen me fall in love as many times as got my heart broken. 2025 is no exception. And so I wanted to take a moment to celebrate some of the most relatable, most loved, and most viewed poems of the year. Enjoy!
#1 MAKE ART
This poem is an anthem for all artists and creatives. It’s the poem that can combat the voice inside that’s deathly afraid of making ‘bad art’. I’ve procrastinated starting projects, discarded entire poems, and deleted videos out of fear of imperfections. Let this poem be your permission slip. #2 FALLING FOR HIM
Ohh! The love ballad! This poem is an audience favourite. Written to a loved one for Valentine’s Day at the time, this poem brings together romantic visuals and sweet lines to express an honest and wholehearted love. #3 NO VALENTINE
A sharp contrast to the previous poem, NO VALENTINE is about just that: another year alone on the 14th. I wrote this poem the night before, through tears of longing and sadness. #4 BEAUTIFUL
Conventional beauty does not include all that is beautiful. This poem is a tribute to those who don’t feel beautiful by societal standards, and yet have the most beautiful heart and soul. #5 KINDA LOVE
Ahh! One of my favourite poems ever. KINDA LOVE is a prayer, a plea, a wish for the sweetest kind of love to find me. It’s also a rejection of love culture and romantic (or lack thereof) trends.
